Network Configuration & Binding Failure

If you are experiencing issues with network configuration or device binding, please follow the steps below to diagnose and resolve the problem.

Start by checking whether the camera is already connected to the network, then follow the guided steps accordingly.

Step 1: Check Network Connection Status

  • Can you view real-time video?
  • Yes: The camera is already connected to the network. If binding still fails, restart your router and power on the camera before trying again. If the issue persists, proceed to Step 3.
  • No: Please proceed to Step 2.

Step 2: Reconfigure the Network

  • Place the phone, camera, and router within 2 meters and preferably in the same room
  • Press and hold the RESET button until you hear: "Waiting to receive wireless configuration information"
  • Ensure the camera is powered on and the indicator light is on
  • Confirm that WiFi is working properly and the password is correct
  • Disable router restrictions such as MAC filtering, blacklist/whitelist, or anti-piggybacking features
  • Note: Networks requiring web-based authentication are not supported
  • Dual-lens cameras support both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks, avoiding frequency compatibility issues

Step 3: Try AP Network Configuration

  • Select “Try another network configuration method” on the failure page
  • Ensure the app successfully connects to the camera’s hotspot network
  • iOS users: Enable Precise Location (Path: Settings → Botslab → Location → Enable Precise Location)
  • Listen for the prompt: "WiFi connection successful" during setup
  • If possible, record a video of the setup process for troubleshooting support

Step 4: Upload Logs

  • If the issue persists after multiple attempts, click “Upload Log” on the failure page
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to submit diagnostic information

Device Shows “Already Bound”

If your device displays that it has already been bound, it means the camera is currently linked to another account.

A single device can only be bound to one account at a time.

What You Can Do

  • Log in using the original account that was used to bind the device
  • If you do not have access to the original account, please contact customer support for assistance

Sharing with Family Members

  • Family members do not need to bind the device separately
  • Share access via: Devices → Settings → Device Sharing

What Is the Night Vision Effect Like?

The camera automatically adjusts its night vision mode based on ambient lighting conditions to ensure clear monitoring at all times.

Depending on the selected mode, the camera can display either black-and-white or full-color images in low-light environments.

Infrared Night Vision Effect

  • When set to Automatic Infrared Night Vision, the camera switches to infrared mode in low-light conditions
  • The image is displayed in black and white
  • Suitable for environments with no visible lighting

Full-Color Night Vision Effect

  • When set to Intelligent Full-Color Night Vision, the camera can switch to full-color mode in low-light conditions
  • The image is displayed in full color
  • Ideal for capturing more visual details at night

How It Works

  • The camera automatically detects lighting conditions (nighttime or poor lighting during the day)
  • It then switches to the appropriate night vision mode based on your settings
