What should I do if my mobile phone can't receive a message reminder?
Please specify whether you are not receiving "Ring Notifications" or "Event Notifications".
1. The ringing notification cannot be received
- Check App Settings: Go to Botslab App > Doorbell Settings > Ring Alerts and ensure it is turned on.
- Test App Permissions: Ring the doorbell while the App is open. If you see it in the App but not on your phone's lock screen, check your Phone System Settings to allow the app to send notifications.
2. All notifications cannot be received
- Check if the doorbell is online and signal strength is over 70%.
- Confirm Ring Alerts is turned on in App settings.
- Ensure all event messages are enabled in Messages Settings.
- Ensure Do Not Disturb mode is disabled in both Doorbell and App settings.
*Please ensure the Botslab APP is allowed to run in the background and call notification permissions are enabled.

Does the camera have to be connected to the Internet for recording?
Yes, for most smart features and cloud storage. Cloud service will be enabled only when your device is online and connected to a stable internet network.
Why is an internet connection required?
- Cloud Storage: Videos are uploaded to our secure servers in real-time so you can access them anywhere.
- Instant Alerts: Your phone needs the internet to receive push notifications when the camera detects motion.
- Remote Live View: You can check the live stream only when the camera has an active connection.
Pro Tip: If your internet goes down, some models with an SD card slot may continue to record to the local storage, but you won't be able to view those recordings through the App until the connection is restored.

What networking options are available?
To ensure a smooth setup experience, our devices support two flexible methods for network configuration. You can choose the one that best fits your environment:
Option 1: Bluetooth
The fastest and most recommended way. The App will automatically discover the device nearby via Bluetooth for a quick one-tap setup.
- Requires Bluetooth enabled on your phone
- Best for initial setup within 5 meters
Option 2: AP Hotspot
A reliable alternative. Your phone connects directly to the device's temporary Wi-Fi signal to transmit network credentials.
- Useful if Bluetooth is unavailable
- Manual connection to device Wi-Fi required
How to start: Simply open the Botslab App, tap the "+" icon to add a device, and follow the on-screen prompts. The App will automatically guide you through the best available method.
