What Should I Do If the Device Is Unusable After a Firmware Upgrade Failure?

Do not power off the device during a firmware upgrade. If the device becomes unusable due to an unexpected power failure, you can restore it by manually programming the firmware.

Preparation

Only TF cards in FAT32 format support manual firmware programming.
  • Insert the TF card into a card reader and check that its file system is FAT32
  • Prepare the correct firmware version and copy it to the root directory of the TF card

Steps

  • Insert the TF card into the Botslab Indoor Cam 2 Pro
  • Disconnect the power supply of the device
  • Press and hold the Set button (or use an ejection pin for the reset hole)
  • While holding the button, reconnect the power supply
  • Wait for about 10 seconds, then release the button
  • Wait for about 1 minute until the indicator turns steady blue or blinks green

Reminder

Do not cut off the power supply during the manual firmware upgrade process.

What Should I Do If Network Connection Fails?

Restart the router and reconnect the camera by replugging the power supply. If the issue persists, follow the steps below.

Checks Before Reconnecting

Make sure the camera is close to the router during setup.
  • Ensure the mobile phone, camera, and router are in the same room, with a distance of less than 2 meters
  • Check whether the network is available and the Wi-Fi password is correct
  • Ensure the router has not enabled restrictions such as MAC filtering, blacklist/whitelist, or anti-Wi-Fi squatter functions
  • Note: The camera does not support networks that require authentication

Sound Wave Connection Tips

  • Turn up the volume of the mobile phone
  • Keep the phone close to the camera during connection

Alternative Method

If connection fails multiple times using sound waves, try another connection method as shown below.
