What should I do if network connection fails?

Quick Reset

Before deep troubleshooting, please restart your router and replug the camera's power supply, then try connecting again.

If the connection still fails, please follow these 4 essential checks:

1. Proximity Check: Keep your phone, camera, and router in the same room (less than 2 meters apart) during the setup process.
2. Network Environment:
  • Verify the Wi-Fi password is correct.
  • Disable router "Anti-Wi-Fi squatter" functions (MAC filtering/Whitelists).
  • Note: The camera does not support networks requiring web authentication.
3. Sound Wave Setup: Turn up your phone's volume to maximum and hold it close to the camera's microphone.
4. Alternative Method: If sound wave connection fails multiple times, try the AP Hotspot method as shown below.

What should I do if the device is unusable due to power failure during upgrade?

⚠️ CRITICAL REMINDER

Do not power off the device during a firmware upgrade.

If an unexpected power failure has already caused the device to become unresponsive, you can attempt to restore it by manually programming the firmware using the steps below.

Manual Firmware Recovery Guide

1

Prepare the TF Card: Insert your TF card into a card reader. Check its file system; currently, only FAT32 format supports manual firmware programming.

2

Copy Firmware: Prepare the firmware file and copy it directly to the root directory of the TF card (do not put it inside any folder).

3

Insert & Power Off: Insert the TF card into the Botslab Indoor Cam 2 Pro tray. Ensure the power supply is cut off at this stage.

4

Enter Recovery Mode: Press and hold the Set button (or the configuration hole). Connect the power supply while holding it. Wait for 10 seconds before releasing the button.

5

Wait for Completion: Wait about 1 minute. If the indicator light becomes steady blue or blinks green, the upgrade is successful.

Final Check: Please do not interrupt the power during this manual upgrade process.
